At the age of 7, my dad's wood shop left an impression on me, everything from the smell of cigars to the click of cassette tapes and the aromatic sawdust lingering in the air. I would gaze in awe of the tools, their power, and the craft that came from his hand. I would bring different project ideas to build together; he taught me how to be safe and find joy in my craft.

Fast forward 24 years, I met my wife, and we began to dream up projects together. When we got married and wanted to furnish our place, we realized how expensive and inauthentic modern furniture could be. We wanted to purchase quality items that would last over the years, yet most options we found lacked genuine handiwork and were mass-produced.
